Taken @ the Chowallur Temple near Gurvayur, Kerala… Being the first day of Thiruvathira (Thiruvathira is the Malayalam month of Dhanu(December-January)) The calendar followed is obviously way different from the Gregorian Calendar. During this season, 1 lakh (100,000) lamps are lit in the temple. MOre pictures of that in my upcoming posts.
